What should I avoid while using Clobex® (clobetasol propionate) Lotion, 0.05%?
- Clobex® Lotion should be used for the shortest amount of time necessary.
- Do not use Clobex® Lotion for more than 2 consecutive weeks for the treatment of steroid responsive dermatoses (eczema, dermatitis). Use of Clobex® Lotion may be extended an additional 2 weeks if localized lesions of plaque psoriasis have not sufficiently improved after the initial 2 weeks of treatment.
- The total dose should not exceed 50 mL (1.75 fluid ounces) per week.
- Do not use Clobex® Lotion on your face, groin, or armpits or if you have thinning of the skin at the treatment site (atrophy).
- Before using Clobex® Lotion, tell your doctor about all other medicines you take, if you have a skin infection or plan to have surgery. Also tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or nursing (it is not known whether Clobex® Lotion can harm your unborn child or passes in to your milk).
